Even as a young Memphian, I was the only one of my 6 siblings that possessed a deep-rooted passion for investing. My journey started at six, when I’d visit banks to ask tellers to trade for old coins and bills. By twelve, I was rushing home after school to check my mutual funds on Yahoo Finance, and by twenty, I was picking my own stocks. Real estate was the next mountain I would tackle.My interest in property investment grew from a need to diversify. I immersed myself in every book on real estate deals, negotiations, and renovations, turning my enthusiasm into knowledge. Then, I discovered real estate was in my blood! My great grandfather was, Dave Dermon who bought up and developed much of Downtown Memphis and became a southern real estate legend. You can still find the Dave Dermon Building standing tall at Third and Court. Real estate excites me, and I love nothing more than helping my clients find a deal in a home they adore!Real estate and investing are the key pillars for my other passion—travel. I feel most alive while traveling or sharing real estate or investment knowledge.
